Posted February 23, 2017

Orlando, FL, February 23, 2017 – Radixx International, an industry-leader in providing custom tailored airline reservation, distribution and merchandizing systems, recently announced that it has been selected to provide the passenger service system for start-up carrier Air Belgium, who will be offering direct flights between Belgium and Asia starting in the second half of 2017.

Air Belgium, headquartered near Brussels, is preparing to launch and run scheduled service via long-haul flights to Asia across three passenger categories – economy, business and premium – to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travelers. The carrier is planning a summer go-live, with initial flights running between Belgium and China. The routes will be serviced with an initial fleet of four A340-313s, which will ultimately grow its fleet over the next 5 years with additional aircraft. Both Airbus and Boeing products are being evaluated and considered at this stage.

As a start-up airline, Air Belgium was looking for an affordable solution capable of both meeting expectations at inception as well as supporting growth plans beyond the first three years of operation. Radixx was chosen as Air Belgium’s partner for a multitude of reasons. The carrier noted Radixx’ end-to-end PSS solution that satisfied all of their critical requirements– reasonable cost, a fully hosted and managed SaaS offering, complete system integration between modules and Internet Booking Engines, and easy API connectivity.

Olivier Corvilain, Chief Digital Officer at Air Belgium declares:

“Our passengers should be able to buy airline tickets in a smooth and easy way. The process must be as efficient as possible for our administrative teams as well, so they can remained focused on the highest customer satisfaction. Radixx offers a reliable, economical and scalable solution to help Air Belgium achieve its short and long term goals. We’re delighted that, starting this spring, our future Belgian and Asian passengers will be booking their tickets using this solution.”

Ron Peri, Radixx International CEO, comments that
