Airline veteran Chris Collins joins Sabre as new leader of Radixx

Posted March 13, 2020

Sabre, the leading software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry, today announced the appointment of Chris Collins as senior vice president and general manager of its Radixx business. Collins will be responsible for implementing Radixx’s overall strategic direction and growth as the leading technology provider to the low-cost carrier (LCC) market. Sabre acquired Radixx in October 2019 as part of the technology company’s entrance into the fast-growing LCC segment.

Collins has spent the majority of his three-decade career in leadership roles at LCCs, including serving as chief operating officer at both Wizz Air and Frontier Airlines. Additionally, Chris was a founding officer of JetBlue and spent many years with Continental Airlines.

“I was drawn to Sabre and this opportunity with Radixx due to the strong culture of innovation,” Collins said. “I share the team’s commitment to pushing the industry forward and am excited to see what we will accomplish together. We have bold objectives in the pipeline for 2020, and plan to leverage our innovative technology platforms and strong team expertise to build on the momentum gained in 2019”.

Collins will be based in Orlando alongside the rest of the Radixx team at their headquarters downtown.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the Sabre team as our new Radixx leader,” said Cem Tanyel, president Sabre Airline Solutions. “He is a forward-thinking leader with an incredible LCC background. Having worked in airline operations for nearly the entirety of his 30-year career, he is in a fantastic position to help Radixx, and in turn, our customers, achieve great success.”
